Milagro Prescott (née Navarro) is Lucky Prescott's late mother. She was a charreada performing horse-riding stunts in El Circo Dos Grillos when she met and married Jim Prescott. Milagro died before her daughter Lucky was old enough to get to know her, but how she died has never been explained, although it was hinted that she possibly died of an illness. In Spirit Untamed, it implied Milagro died from a trick riding accident.

Appearance[]

In Spirit Untamed Milagro was a beautiful woman with long brown hair, dark eyes, a long pink dress, white pants, brown and red staff with hearts, gold earrings, and a pink ribbon tied to her waist.

In Memories Milagro wore a red short-sleeved blouse, a long red skirt with black and red stripes, a yellow belt, boots with yellow and orange flames, and a red flower in her hair. She had brown eyes, brown hair tied in a braid, and dark skin.

History[]

Milagro was born and raised in the small Mexican village of San Jorge. She became beloved by everyone for her beauty, high spirits, and kind heart, but these charms attracted the unwanted attention of San Jorge's wealthiest man, Don Trujillo, who was determined to have Milagro's hand in marriage on her sixteenth birthday.[1] Milagro, unwilling to marry someone she didn’t love and wanting more out of life outside of her town, escaped San Jorge with her horse Equuleus. Pursued across the frontier by two of Don Trujillo's henchmen, Milagro hid herself in a performance of El Circo Dos Grillos, performing stunts with Equuleus in the show, and afterward was taken in by the circus's ringmaster Fito and his wife Estrella.[1] Milagro joined the circus full-time and eventually became its star performer, even being featured on the circus's posters, standing (la volada) atop a brown horse and wearing her trademark riding boots.[2]

Sometime after this, Milagro met Jim Prescott after a performance in the town of Winslow, where he had driven cattle to auction while working as a cowboy for a Western ranch called The Corral and had been mesmerized by her beauty and talent, thus resulting in their romantic relationship, which developed into marriage when they reached adulthood.[3]

Milagro died when Lucky was two years old.[3]
